Asbestos and Mold Laboratory Testing

Asbestos Experts™ of New Mexico and West Texas refers all asbestos testing to quality analytical laboratory services for our clients from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, Santa Fe to Roswell, and Farmington to Los Alamos and San Antonio to El Paso. The labs we contract with are focused on the microbiology of mold and asbestos to improve and protect you from environmental hazards and improve indoor air quality.

Our technicians will take samples of each material that needs to be tested. All the following will be documented: when samples were taken, where the samples are from, which room they are from, and what type of material is being sampled. For flooring, Asbestos Experts™ will try to get every layer of flooring all the way to the adhesive material which can also contain asbestos. As for walls and ceilings, Asbestos Experts™ will take samples from different areas of the room, including the joint compound and sheetrock as well as the ceilings.

The samples are then marked and sealed for shipment to the labs. Turnaround times for testing are driven by the depth and breadth of the affected areas but results and an action plan are typically delivered back in 3 to 5 business days.  If the samples are wet this will extend the time of testing since the samples need to be dried.
